How to apply for a home loan

There are lots of ways you can start your home loan application with ANZ.

What you will need

It pays to be prepared - so here’s what you will need to provide your ANZ Home Loan Coach when you apply:

Proof of your identity

If you don’t already bank with us, we’ll need proof of your address and a valid photo ID. Utility bills and a passport or a valid driver’s licence are a good way to do this.

Proof of your deposit

How much cash or equity can you put towards the deposit? (If you have a low deposit, check out what other deposit options might be available).

Proof of income

You can prove your income using bank statements, payslips, or an employment contract. If your income is directly credited into an ANZ account, you may not need to provide proof of income. If you’re self-employed, we’ll need your financial statements, preferably through your accountant.

Your expenses

Review your bank statements so you can tell us about your expenses. For non-ANZ accounts you’ll need to provide your last three months of bank statements.

Tip

Please supply bank statements in electronic form as it makes the process a lot faster. PDFs are ideal. If you have multiple accounts, make sure you supply each account as a separate PDF.
